Betina Mele
Betina is the founder and heart behind Caring Connections. With more than 20 years of experience in childcare and over a decade in household staffing, she has dedicated her career to helping families and professionals find the right fit.
Her experience as a nanny, mother, and agency owner shapes the thoughtful, personal approach Caring Connections is known for. Betina oversees the agency as a whole, with a focus on building strong relationships, supporting the Caring Connections community, developing meaningful partnerships, and making sure families and candidates feel genuinely supported throughout their experience.
Outside of Caring Connections, Betina enjoys giving back to her community, spending time with her family, and being outdoors.
Jess Crothers
Jess is Caring Connectionsβ Placement Coordinator, working closely with both families and candidates throughout the placement process. From recruiting and interviewing candidates to getting to know each family and what they truly need, Jess helps guide placements from the initial search through interviews, trials, and ultimately finding the right match.
With over 17 years of experience in childcare, DHS child care training, and a Child Development Associate credential, Jess brings extensive industry knowledge along with a natural ability to connect with people. She understands that a successful placement is about much more than experience on paper. Itβs about personality, values, communication, and finding a fit that can truly last.
Outside of Caring Connections, Jess enjoys spending time with her husband, two stepchildren, and her dog, and getting outdoors whenever she can.
