Full-time nannies work an average of 35 to 60 hours per week. Responsibilities are childcare focused to ensure a safe and thriving environment. They may also be responsible for driving children to and from school/activities, meal prepping, and child-related light housekeeping such as keeping the play areas tidy and doing children’s laundry. Part-time nannies work an average of 25 to 34 hours per week and often share some of the duties as full-time nannies.

A family assistant or household manager is a perfect mix between a nanny and household duties. This person is a professional childcare provider but also has household managing skills. The family assistant may run a wide variety of errands on behalf of the family, may also schedule appointments, and communicate with other household staff. Family Assistants work with the parent’s daily needs to keep the household running smoothly. Family Assistants are full-time/long-term employees working 35 to 60 hours per week.
